Having issues with BB9900 to iPhone and iphone to iphone, messages not being delivered.
HI macboer
I have been testing on two Iphone 4s all seems fine.
But we came across this issue .
"SMS Memory issue on Iphone 4s"
iOS Messaging Database Is Limited To 15 MB Of Storage In iOS 5.
Link HERE
HERE
I know that is is not push, but when we ran test on profile found.
Although status profile in USC/HLR is intermittent, "sometimes It's on absent subscriber", when we deleted some SMS, profile is now stable.
Still doing more testes.
If want can set up a time and run test between each other....

Hey cell_C
I don't think SMS is relevant to this problem...
I was under the impression that my gmail got pushed but it does not seem to work.
SO: I have NO push functionality on my phone...
My settings are correct. Please tell me HOW TO FIX THIS. Why does it work for others and not me?
I'm tying to be patient over here but I'm really struggling not to be pissed off by this.
Why would I recommend your service to anyone anymore as I've done in the past?
Please give me a reason because I can't think of any.

Good day macboer
I have tried to reproduce the issue you are having, but all work fine.
I have tried 4 different iphone 4 S all work.
Have you tried your sim card in another phone and test the push app ?
I can only think of two issue the phone or the sim.
As you said you have all correct settings.

I'm on an iPhone4 NOT "4s"...
Will try to check if i can try in other phone.
Or am i being stupid?
A while ago I had huge issues with Whatsapp push notifications on my iPhone 4 on MTN network. Even on wifi it did not work. I resolved the issue by restoring to an earlier backup via iTunes. Push wouldn't work on data or wifi and I'm pretty sure the issue was a push certificate verification issue... although don't quote me...
The problem for Macboer is I don't believe push on Whatsapp has ever worked for him over wifi or data, which is strange...

On which version of ios did you restore to? I tought we didnt have to worry about verification as our iphones are factory unlocked. But i dont know much. I was on 4.3.3 not long ago and it didnt work. I thought maybe an upgrade would work but I had the same issue on ios 5.1.
Will have to check on another phone.![]()

Think I was on 4.3.3 at the time. The issue wasn't the firmware version. Something was messed up with the app itself and restoring to a backup when all was working sorted the issue out.
What worries me is push has never worked for you either on data or wifi yet push mail is working. That suggests an issue with the app itself and not one easily resolved. Alternatively it could be something so mundane and trivial, such is the nature of electronics...
As suggested over at iPhoneza and I assume you've done it already, one would need to de-register your account with Whatsapp, uninstall the software on your phone, re-install, re-register. If you jailbroken you may wanna try the pushfix remedy too. Nothing to lose there. Oh wait, I see you on 5.1 so scrap that...

@macboer when you say "pushing troubles", are the messages being delivered to your phone at all? do they get delivered when you unlock the device or only when you open whatsapp?
re gmail: have you set it up as a gmail (imap) account, or a microsoft exchange account. only the latter supports push.
