I have a new iPad. If you use it for ebook reading and the like (Zinio specifically) its day and night difference - you can read without having to zoom in on articles.

As other apps get updated, the difference becomes clear too. If you have an iPad 2, you can keep it. Just don't look at the new screen.

Trolling is looking for some reaction and cause issues on the forum. I'm getting him to get give all the facts to show Apple n00bs (and some of the Apple section) that's it not quite what they all think.

You recall all the screenshots with severely jagged edges on '2' - that I called BS and everyone laughed?

Every excuse under the sun was given when I said it wasn't mindblowing ... I don't have one, I haven't seen one, the reviews are incorrect etc Even the guy that came on and said it was good, but not mind blowing was knocked because he didn't have a 2nd generation to compare.

If you put them side by side the new one is defininetly better but I wouldn't buy a 3 if I already had a 2.

Fact is it is better ... no one said any different. However, not quite how how people make it out. I posted many links where people not quite seeing a huge difference. The only uses that noticed massive improvements happen to have 3+ Apple systems at home with a little Apple sticker on their car

The rest of us folk don't find it mind blowing

The facts re pixel rate have been posted enough times already, no need to keep rehashing old data... the facts speak for themselves, no disputing them.

How they translate and are interpreted by the end user is what we discussing here.

All about managing those expectations, I keep talking about it.

Besides "mind blowing" is such a subjective term. How does one quantify or measure "mind blowing" ffs??

As I've said before the difference is as significant as a good SD feed is compared to full HD!! I find watching HD channels on my HD PVR in sharp contrast (excuse the pun) to what I experience on the regular SD channels.

I would imagine the iPad experience to be similar.

The 3GS vs 4 experience is similar... chalk and cheese....

It's just strange that 1/3 the world see's no difference at all - and needs to check and compare. They happen to be the neighbour, our parents and the teacher down road.

The other 1/3 sees a little difference - it's good! They have a decent phone and use decent technology daily. Not fanatics of anything really

And the other 1/3 see's a HUGE MASSIVE MIND BLOWING difference. These guys happens to have ATV, iMac, MacBook, iPad 1, iPad 2, iPhone ....
