    I have

I received a reply from host social@8ta address to say they're looking into it - but nothing more
    Jägermeiʃter can fix that!

This is what frustrates me the most:

CellC sim that I have in my tablet:

    8ta in my router:

I have seen speedtests in the speedtest sticky that get to similar speeds and pings, I just hope 8ta can fix it ASAP.

Update - looks like it's just getting worse:

    Update 2:

It's early now so my speeds are ok-ish, but from 8 onwards, it's terrible. Also - yesterday I was getting so many DNS timeouts I wanted to throw my laptop off the second floor, I switched my DNS provider to google (8.8.8.8) and it's MUCH better.

    Early morning speedtests:

That was the only two I could get done, the other just either timed out or didn't start

My pings are still as bad as ever:

8ta are sending a technician to my house for a second time now - let's see if it makes a difference.

I'm not 100% sure, I'll put my 8ta sim in my tablet and see if opensignal maps can find that power. I have a tech coming over today to do some tests, I'll keep you up to date with the findings, Blandford is very close to me so I'm pretty sure we're on the same tower? In a previous post I did post my MDMA results with the CellID, have you tried to see which one you connect to?

Sidenote / Offtopic - I wish I had this at home:

    UPDATE:

Looks like the issue is with the distance from my house to the tower (over 5ks) , there is a closer tower but for some reason I'm not connecting to it, the tech advised that he is going to escalate it and see if they can do "optimization" on the closer tower so I can connect to it. By the way way, the tower I seem to be connecting to is around the BMW garage on the corner of Witkoppen and Cedar ave.

Just got 7.58 Mbps on speedtest.net to rosebank but struggling to open sites, I checked tower id's on MDMA and seems I'm jumping between about 5 different cells every couple of minutes. Mainly 20043 and 20046

Mine is jumping between 22266, 20043 and 20046 - 200** are the antennas that are FAR from us. The antennas they're going to try point this way are on top of the shopping center on witkoppen with the pick & pay (and hooters).

My speed tests are still bad though:

That's the same rosebank speedtest server and connected to CellID: 22266

Still haven't heard anything back yet from 8ta though.

Let me know when they redirect the antennas, hopefully we can get some improvement. I'm currently using an old novatel antenna on my huawei E367 without it the modem doesn't even register the 8ta network and can't connect.

I might refurbish my toptv dish for a directional antenna. Does anybody know if it can be done?

I can't comment on using the toptv dish but I'm still waiting on 8ta to let me know what's happening.

Just as a quick follow up, speed issues still not resolved. 8ta are recommending a booster for my apartment which is a problem for me as my complex does not allow any external fitments. I'm really starting to regret ever touching this service.

    Update again:

I've been civil about this problem now for over a month, but I'm starting to lose it.

I'm now being told that the consultant that sold me the package "could not comment" on my signal without testing it it my area. This is ridiculous, why do they even have a coverage map that their staff use?

I've wasted enough money with this, I'm now asking for it to be cancelled so I can explore other avenues, probably ADSL.

    Update for anyone interested:

Cancelling 8ta, ADSL line has been ordered.
