Hi all,
I recently noticed that my cPanel shows a notice at the bottom of my Email Accounts page, that I have "Blackberry FastMail Service" enabled.
Then when you look at the help, they explain if you added an email account to your blackberry before a certain cPanel version. You should re-add the account.
First, I don't own a BlackBerry. Second, I have a add-on domain with an e-mail account that is used by a BlackBerry owner.
My question is simply:
What is different between the setup of that account as POP3 or IMAP than setup for FastMail? Like how can I explain to that user to setup his account so that he makes use of the FastMail service? He currently complain that his mail takes long to show on his phone, and so I "think" his not on the FastMail side of things. I have no idea how to even try asking him to check something that would indicate if he is on POP3, IMAP or FastMail.
Also I have noticed on posts about FastMail that they make "enhancements" to the IDLE command of IMAP.... so does that mean, that by just adding the e-mail as an IMAP service is all that is needed, and BIS would just recognise the "enhanced IDLE command"?
Lastly on the cPanel help docs they say that you get Level 3 BIS integration if your domain is recognised as a Email provider. For what would I want this "Level 3" integration?
Thanks for any help!
