    Hey

i am off to the states for the rest of the month... i am wondering if anyone has any experience with a south african bought iphone working over there?

any idea as to which network in the states has the best prepaid deals? I just need data to be able to whatsapp family/friends and use my tom tom on the phone there and possible a few calls?

I know AT&T and T- Mobile both have GSM networks. T-MOBILE charged me for incoming calls when i was last there. Extremely annoying so i suggest looking for a good prepaid deal when you arrive. Your iPhone will work perfectly though, so no worries there.

Enjoy it! Where in the states will you be?

I'd check on pre-paid availability, last I knew unless you were resident you could not get a pre-pay SIM. This was over seven years ago so, things may have changed? It may also vary from state to state...

As far as I know both parties pay for calls and SMS on US networks!

I spent most of my money on fast cars, fast women and booze. The rest I just squandered...
