    Default Pre-Purchase & Pre-Order details for SA

Ok, so the SA companies mentioned that are *supposed* to have the Collectors Edition are Kalahari, Takealot, and BT Games.

EDIT: Updated 5:20 PM (12 Apr)

    SUMMARY:
-Collectors Edition sold out from BT Games
-Collectors Edition available on Pre-Order from Takealot
-Pre-purchase Standard Edition [SE] available from Kalahari
-Pre-order SE available from BT, Kalahari, & Takealot
-Digital Deluxe Edition available from Anet Store, http://buy.guildwars2.com and also if you upgrade your SE version from your GW2 account.

    Kalahari:
-No Collectors Edition... yet. They will update site IF it is available.
    -Standard Edition Pre-purchase - http://www.kalahari.com/games/Guild-.../44917703.aspx
    -Standard Edition Pre-order - http://www.kalahari.com/games/Guild-.../44698578.aspx
    -SE Cost = R462.95

    Takelot:
-Collectors Edition Pre-Purchase sold out. Apparently they did have it but it didn't make it far as it was sold out almost immediately. Here is the link: http://www.takealot.com/gaming/mmorp...der-1,11010800 The link appears to have now been changed to Pre-order.
    -Standard Edition Pre-order - http://www.takealot.com/gaming/mmorp...d-rom,10830834
    -SE Cost = R429
    -CE Cost = R1317

    BT Games:
    -Pre-purchase CE - [sold out]
-Pre-purchase SE - Likely sold out as the link is removed from site
    -Pre-order SE - http://www.btgames.co.za/bt/infopage.asp?A06883
    -Pre-order CE - [sold out]

Collectors Edition Cost = R1299 [SOLD OUT]
    Standard Edition Cost = R445 (pre-order)

Digital Deluxe: https://buy.guildwars2.com/ Which is about R780 currently (Euro).
The US dollar option will be cheaper, but Anet have said the games will be region locked. So, I wouldn't take a chance, unless you know how to get around the region lock.

According to TwakkieJan below, you can get the SE, and then upgrade off your GW2 account.

The region specific sales have to do with the game client - US will see US pricing and be restricted to the NA server, EU will see Euro/UK depending on their location and restricted to the EU server

Ok. I don't think I want to take any chances with getting the "wrong" copy. I will probably order the Deluxe Edition, so unfortunately will probably settle paying the extra Still have to buy my wife a copy as well Probably only get her the SE from BT Games

Well, went and purchased now off the buy.guildwars2.com site.

Total cost on my card was R771 for the DDE. As soon as the purchase went through, they immediately took me to a screen to signup and link my GW1 account. So now the two accounts are linked for beta and post beta.

Glad to hear that the link up is working correctly, Reddit has been going mad because after purchasing, the site would fail at the Register screen

Well, I noticed that the link to the CE edition at BT Games was not available anymore. As the link is still in my OP, I went to see and it says SOLD OUT! Wow... pretty quick

Well, it looks like sales probably have gone well in SA, with BT Games taking SE pre-purchase off the site until tomorrow morning to prevent some not receiving

Anyone know WHEN Kalahari or TakeAlot will be releasing copies for the Collectors Edition?

Can someone tell me if, if I purchase a copy of the Standard Edition, can I later upgrade to the Digital Deluxe Edition via the In Game Store?

Anet have stated in their FAQ on the buy.guildwars2.com that you can upgrade your standard edition to the DDE. So you don't have to take our word on it. I just don't know what the price will be for the upgrade, as even though we have registered (for those who pre-purchased) there is no account to login to yet. I would not be surprised if the upgrade will be more expensive overall.

I see a lot of people have issues with the registration on GW2 Guru. Mostly issues with old email addresses, etc. I bought a SE copy from BT games as well this morning, so curious to see how the process goes. The Anet store option was fast and didn't waste time for me. Just the price

So close now... waited so long for this game....

There is an account login page, but it's so half-done that I refuse to share it. I'm assuming the page is severely incomplete.
