Ok, so we have no more CE's left in the country. Though if Kalahari and Takealot can get their act together, then that will be solved. Though I tend to think that most in SA are just going for the SE. The R780 price tag on the DDE is also steep for some.

The forum seems to have settled down now, and is taking logins finally. https://forum.guildwars2.com
Not that there is anything to see. It is the same as it was in previous beta's, just minus all the posts.

Mine is the same for both games. When I started playing GW1 in 2006 i created a gmail account just for GW in case my main account changed if i moved jobs. My wife has an account as well and it is the same for both.
Though in the sign up process it asks for your current email. It then asks for your GW1 username, and not email address. I realise that the username and email is the same often, but when you register it just asks for your login username for GW1 and then links the accounts. So your GW1 email as far as I know doesn't play any roll in the registration of your GW2 account.

GW2 Guru had a topic with hundreds of posts of people complaining about not registering and receiving an activation email. I still didn't understand what the problem was as when I finished registering I received an email saying I had registered, and nothing about activating. For me that seemed sufficient. I see that topic has been completely deleted now by the moderators. So I still dont see what the issue is/was.

All I know is that when I tried to "re-register", it said "you have already registered". The whole thing is a little confusing, I think they should put some effort into making that better.

Though why did you try to register again?
The thing is as I bought two accounts, I used a BT Games, and Anet registration process, and both were identical, except, the Anet one took me to the registration page once I purchased GW2. I still don't get why people are having an issue with old emails or why there is confusion. Obviously I am missing something?

There seems to be confusion with the gw1name@ncsoft name and that login that people used. I remember I had issues with GW1 when I had a trial account, and then got the game, because my username is linked to the trial account, so points to two different accounts.
The re-reg was just a test to see what it would do. But yeah, at least I know it works![]()

Phoned takealot just to see if they had info on what was up and why they are considered CE distributers without a CE. I was told they had a LOT of interest and it actually got sold out immediately.
