Default Nred a good payment gateway for website

    Howzit,

Going to be creating a website that needs a payment gateway to process payments for users that register on the website. Now most of the visitors will most likely be international (it will be a .com website), for SA websites I normally use VCS but I don't think it will cut it.

Can you recommend a payment gateway that cover the payment options below?

    • Credit card
    • PayPal
    • Other options?

    Cheers

Someone mentioned 2CO in a similar thread the other day, may be worth checking out.

PayPal would be a good option if the majority will be from overseas.
You could also try NetCash, their gateway is pretty cool.

    Go with paypal...
They do credit card processing as well.

So, the client will be able to pay via his/her paypal account or via credit card (without needed a paypal account).
http://www.wildtwig.com/ uses Paypal in this method.

I use Netcash. They are local and extremely helpful. I always get a reply from them in a few hours to an email query , and you can also call them if you are a bit stuck. They also do c/card processing

But do not rely on Paypal - I developed a wonderful site for a client (brilliant concept) and it required a payment gateway. The site owner was convinced to only use Paypal - its such a schlep to use payapl compared to other payment gateways if your a South African. As a result the payment system on the site was a flop.
