Is my anytmime data being used up for after hours usage even though im on VAS

I have been looking at my Daily iBurst Bandwidth Usage Reports and i am using between 200Mb to about 500Mb per day, even though i dont use it much during the day, the conection is constantly on via my router but my wife doesnt use the pc at all she either uses her phone or tablet which both use 3g and not the wifi, i only get home by about 6 and i just browse Facebook, gmail and mybb (and a couple of other sites) but at the speeds im geting at those times i realy dont see me blowing that amount of data in that time
i do all my heavy downloads after midnight till 8 am and I am on VAS so my midnight to morning doesnt get depleated but as mentioned above i seem to be using alot of anytime bandwidth.

Any one else noticed this?

I have noticed this as well... I am away on the weekends and just do downloading during midnight to 8 (scheduled).
Yet I somehow manage to do a fair bit of data in that time...

Not quite as much as 200-500MB a day. Still a lot more than I think I am using.
Not as if iBurst will give it back to us or investigate etc.

yes and i dont broadcast the wifi SSID either, and do keep an eye on the DCHP table to see whats conected (so far only devices I know of are on there), and have changed the wifi and actual router password recently just to be safe

i-burst has a server set up just for creating bandwidth reports.

This is the only reason I can find for the fiction that arrives in my inbox every morning. I should get my lazy behind into gear and use one of the monitoring programs. I doubt that it will help though because i-burst would still not concede that their reports are fiction.

I had a similar problem - I lost about a gig every day.
I went through my startup items and disabled a couple of programs.
That seemed to do the trick.
I think the main culprit was bingbar which somehow installed itself with some other program.
After I disabled it, my actual usage came down to about 200-300mb a day, which is what I expected.

i dont use torrent programs ( I use downstorm), so no uploads ever and as mentioned I only download during the night.
as i mentioned my wifi is as secure as possible (dont broadcast ssid, password protected, mac filtering etc) , short of switching it off during the day any idea how i can track what's apparently stealing my bandwidth

My router and modem have been unplugged since about 8am this morning

So while I was not at home and my modem was turned off I downloaded almost 300MB?

The only possible explanation is that the midnight to morning doesn't actually end at 8am, but earlier like about 7ish?

going to set my downloads to stop at 7am tomorrow and switch off the modem and router again and then see what results I get.

I am having a similar issue where I am loosing a couple hundred mb with little or no traffic during the day so I am also trying to test the 7am/8am midnight to morning idea but your feedback would be appreciated in the meantime.

was going for a long term test about 2 weeks
well I've stopped my downloads allot earlier (around 0630 to 0700) and my bandwidth seems to have stabilised didn't run out had about 1 gig left over.

So either
A- my earlier conclusion is correct and Iburst timing is off
B- my downloads were not auto stopping correctly at 8AM odd cause it worked fine till last few months but hey these things do have a way of changing themselves

so to be safe i figure i might as well set the auto stop earlier nd turn the pc off before i eave for work just to be safe, dont mind losing an hour since my speeds after hours are currently excellent (wont talk about normal time )

I burst needs to look into this,

Month to date according to iburst i have downloaded 500Mbs, looking at a bandwidth monitor i have only used close to 300Mbs, i'm also on VAS, this leaves me to believe that midnight to morning does not end at 08:00 as i always stop my downloads and shutdown my PC at 07:50.

Iburst representative please look into this, i have logged another call with the service desk and as always no one has came back to me
