Default Do you remember the last whites-only referendum?

Where the whites have to choose to continue the existing political policy of apartheid, or to discard it.

Sadly, things have gone downhill from there...
Christ-mass is NOT for Christians. Jeremiah 10.
Is the 10 Commandments for Christians?

This is really interesting. 68.73% voted towards reform.
I never knew that. Granted I was only 5 at the time.

I wonder what that vote would be today?

White people would all be dead. I was about 11 at the time, I remember having to do civil unrest drills, glad kids today don't have to go through that.

I remember that day, particularly the year as it was my first year at tech.

Cape Technikon was in its second year of being open for all races. The non-whites were encouraged to support their white counterpart in doing the right thing.

So if they voted yes to continue apartheid, things would have been better now?

Sigh . Yes I did vote. Was my first vote.
We did not have many options then as our backs was against the wall with the rest of the world against us.

I went with my dad to vote in this. The polling booth was in some tannies kitchen! Even then, at 9 years the irony made me smile.
