yea yea - Fact is he is still one of the best news presenters around - ever the professional and gentlemen with that rare SABC presenter skill to pronounce words correctly.

Riaan Cruywagen doesn't read the news, he tells the world what to do next.
The worst part of TV1 back in the day was all the Afrikaans "oorgeklankte" shows. You had to tune the radio to Radio 2000 to listen to out-of-sync (most of the time) English simulcast.

The worst thing about it was hearing what tv sounded like through a real sound system instead of the tiny, tinny tv speakers. And then wishing it could always sound like that...
