btw - they should put a warning on removing the simcard holder from the iPad.... it will feel like you're about to break something.

the new ipad offers wireless hotspot tethering (finally:-), however this is only available on certain carriers. Does 8ta offer this option for the new ipad?

    Hi keelo!

Apologies for the late reply. The day isn't over yet! We have tested and it unfortunately does not work. Our device specialists are talking to Apple about making this available. It is carrier dependent and we will need all the facts from Apple with regards to applying to allow tethering on their devices.

ok cool. thanks for the response.
Would be awesome, considering people take the 10 gig a month data bundle and it would be nice to be able to share that bandwidth among other devices as well

We have a 21mbps modem available viz. the Huawei E367 modem. We also have a 21mbps Huawei B683 router which broadcasts wireless.

I just bought an iPad 2 3G for my mom and want to get an 8ta micro sim to use 8ta's R160 for 1GB iPad data bundle. But the Tariff sheet says "The data bundles are only being offered at iStores".

Can I not just cut an 8ta sim to micro sim size and then load the bundle after registering on the 8ta iPad Web portal?

It is too far to drive to an iStore to get this set up.
    :-)

Can't you get a microsim from an 8ta store and then do the bundle online on the 8ta site?
