    If it looked anything like those ghost/reapers in the movie Ghost that came to collect the baddies I would be schitting myself

    It was probably a Shadow person ( http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadow_people) . I've only seen one once, (and no I wasn't drinking) totally freaked me out.

    I think this could be a similar species, or maybe an adolescent.

    They are very quick little things and they sometimes give you goose bumps, saw a documentary about them.
    Without a winking smiley or other blatant display of humor, it is impossible to create a parody of Fundamentalism that SOMEONE won't mistake for the real thing.
