This uproar is very good it is showing the government enough is enough of ripping the consumer off.
I have no problem with a fuel levy being slightly increased .

I think that the Free State should pay for etolling for the whole country.
While at it they can pay for VAT and Income Tax as well.
You only get one chance to piss off a client. After that they are an ex client ...
Or perhaps government should pay for the road infrastructure with the taxes they already collect from us tax payers? Is that not the whole point of taxation?
Tax shortfall you say? If the ANC cadres weren't stealing so much, we wouldn't be in this mess. And now Joe public is expected to make up the difference. Its rubbish!

I think we should go the Belgian route. They went without a government for 541 days, and by all accounts things worked brilliantly there. There was still tax, social services still existed, but without a government there was no corruption. No changing things for changes sake, no stupid laws were passed. I really think most countries could really do with a bit of the Belgian way.

Gauteng pays the most taxes by far... Thus non-gautengers are being subsidised by Gautengers. Thus you shouldn't complain.

According to stats sa 10 000 people move to Gauteng every month, so it's only a matter of time until we all reap the benefits of the fuel levies. Just saying...
