Well last week, I got out the car, turned on my alarm, and it made this really wierd sound. Didn't think much of it, until I came back and realised that my remote didn't work. Disabled it anyway, got home and my other remote didn't work either, changed the batteries still nothing..
So I took my car in for a service yesterday, asking them to check it out and got it back today and they charged me R200.00 to recode the alarm. Which was when it hit me that when I bought the car, I had the same problem (one remote worked other one didn't) and the did some trick with using both remotes at the same time, while turning the ignition on for a few secs, etc and reset both remote.
Of course I cant remember how, but still peeved off that I had to pay R200 for them to do the same thing again which I should of remembered. Any one here know how its done for future reference (Oh its a Ford Montana, so standard Samcor Alarm).
