I know the ps3 is designed to see access points which is infrastructure mode.I read somewhere on a linux thread that companies like sony.....etc injects code so that the wifi part of a device can only see AP's.
I would like my ps3 to see a adhoc connection. How can this be done
If its a hardware issue ,what then.
Has it got to do with the mac address..if so i can change mine.
Let me know your thoughts on this as i am sick of my failing connection.

Try a program called Connectify, it creates an AP that Android and iOS were able to see (as they could not see Ad-hoc networks) so there's a chance this might work with your PS3 as well?
