Thread: Very sick atm please help.

Unhappy Very sick atm please help.

It started off as just a blocked nose last night, this morning it erupted into full body pain, literally full body pain - especially in my shoulders. It feels as if someone cut into my shoulders and back with a knife. I have a constant cough accompanied by a sore throat. And my nose is leaking more fluid than a 1970 Datsun. Luckily no vomiting or diarrhea yet - thank god. Lungs burn and my brain hurts.

I've had broken ribs and a broken arm that felt better than this, I honestly feel like i could kill myself just to ease the pain.

Sad thing is doctors are closed tomorrow.

I have the following things at home.

Vicks Vaporub (expired in 2010). Cepacol throat lozenges - been eating these like sweets. I have Flusin effervescent tablets which i took some of, I also was given some paracetamol by my mother.

Any one know of any home remedies? My muscle ache, nose and throat are by far the worst. I took a hot bath and it didn't help at all.

I feel like I'm 100 years old and fragile.

    Help me

Some would be obviously. Better than just some advice over just some forum.

If it gets worse go to the outpatient casualty at your local hospital and see the doctor on call there.
You will pay outpatient rates, but at least you will get treatment.
If you can't do that, then go to the pharmacy at the hospital and talk to the pharmacist to get some meds.

Stop taking non-prescribed concoctions as the active ingredients are counteracting each other.

Stick to the old adage: take two aspirin and see the doctor in the morning. Dress warmly and climb into bed.

Go to the pharmacy at your local hospital. They'll know what's going around. If they can't give you a generic without prescription, they can at least give pain killers. There will be doctors open, but expect to pay through your teeth.

Seeing as the docs are closed try pain pills if you haven't already; Comprals are my favourite. You do of course get the stronger variety
Sounds like a severe case with the body aches, etc. Tell your family to keep an eye out though.

Gonna be hard if he's a Man Utd or Man City fan.

Get dresses really warm. Put a jug of OJ next to you. Two blankets and get under them and sweat it out. When we get a fever it's the body warming itself u to kill the virus which can't live at those temperatures. So simply induce one.

Medicross, or the equivalent. That is all.
