    Default Buongiorno SA/35050 unknowingly billing me since 2010!!

    Hey guys

    I sometimes randomly receive SMS's about some subscription to 35050 for god knows what. I called Buongiorno SA and apparently I've been billed R3 a day since sometime in 2010 even though I've messaged STOP numerous times!! Always wondered where my airtime goes and assumed it was Whatsapp and other applications. I am FURIOUS about this.

    What can I do to claim the money back? Who can I speak to?

    According to our records your number, xxx xxx xxxx, was successfully subscribed
    to our service on 28-08-2010.

    Please note that Buongiorno cannot assume responsibility for any customer’s
    handset and therefore the actions that any other person may take with a
    customer’s handset, whether the customer is aware of these actions or not.

    Based on the evidence of subscription and in light of the above, we are unable
    to grant a refund for the specified period of subscription.

    Should you require any additional information or if there’s anything else I can
    assist with, please do not hesitate to inform me.

    Neighbour had same experience. After her and my efforts, she got money back. They said she had SMSd an acceptance, but when asked for proof, they could not locate it. Took about 14 months

    Ask Buongiorno for the subscription logs, specifically for the date that you allegedly subscribed.
    Compare then with your itemised billing for that date. I hope you still have your itemised billing...
    But with Autopage and MTN, don't expect any help from them. Autopage will refer you to MTN, MTN will refer you to Autopage and Buongiorno, etc. etc. etc.
