Anyone looking at getting the new Geeko tablet from Esquire?
Sure, it can't be compared to a Galaxy/iPad but perhaps a cheaper alternative for those who need/want a tablet for whatever reason.

Specs are rather bad for the price, would not call a 5" a tablet.

These Chinese phones have been coming up on gumtree a lot lately.
Eg:

How does the experience differ to say a sg2/razr as they all running the same OS,as those phones have 4 times the CPU power, dedicated gpu, 4 times the RAM, 8 times the ROM and 4 times the price.

Samsung Galaxy 5 is R1499.00 no 3G though.
I saw the full specs and nothing to rave about. I've got a Vodafone 858 thats half the price and has the same functionality besides a smaller screen and a weaker CPU (528Mhz) and single SIM. I'm sure this Geeko would appeal to some but the only selling feature is the dual SIM.
And would not be correct to rather refer to this device as a phablet instead?

huawei R1500 from 8ta right?
On the picture it looks like the Geeko has got HTC Sence home page and buttons. So I assume they photoshopped the device picture or is it a ported sense? I don't think I'll go for this, no matter what. Bad specs, bad size, bad over-all.
EDIT: and at 5" its only 0.7 bigger than my phone, so def not for me.

If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun.
Is this phone/tablet rooted?
Can it be rooted?
How does the two SIM card thing work?
When will the 10" tablet be available?
