Default No network Connection. Please help

    Hi people,

Really hope somoeone can help me here.
I am trying to resolve this issue on of the new PC's I have on the network keeps saying "limited or no connectivity"
It is a reloaded windows XP machine, on a different network it works fine. Its IP should be 10.0.1.118 255.255.255.0
Its on a LAN with a dhcp server, It cant get an address from DHCP, only this one computer, I tried, flushdns, release, renew. Nothing.
What I find strange when I give it a static IP it appears to be fine it shows "connected" but I cant ping anything on the network, cant connect to anything... Dont know why it would show connected wit a static IP? What could this be? Any help would be much appreciated

Check that it's on the correct domain or workgroup. Update LAN drivers. Move it to a different network point to make sure it's not a faulty point or cable.

    Reset TCP/IP : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357 reboot aftwerwards
    Reset Winsock Layer: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/winsock.htm

    Install a DHCP Hotfix: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953761
