    Default URGENT: Need cheap 1-2GB isp account ?!?

    I've just been capped by telscum and havent downloaded much as far as i recall.

    Who do I call for a cheap 1 or 2GB access. I don't want a contract or anything. Just pay for the month via CC and get immediate activation.

    Oh, I have a 192kb line if that matters.

    Who do you recommend ???

    Thks, saw the cybersmart thread here and I think I will give them a go. Get a extra gig compared to telkom and save R100.

    ForSure,

    So far so good. I have not really done any speed test but to the naked eye I cannot notice any difference to my telscum account. The beauty is i'm getting a extra gig and saving R100.

    I use linux and I've been updating my beta box all afternoon, wget maxes out at about +/_ 20kB/s which is normal.

    If you would like me to run some speed test let me know what you want and I'll post the results here.

    Code:
    http://www.telkom.co.za/minisites/dsl/speed1.html
    Results:

    Below is the data used to calculate your download speed:

        * Download time: 25.978 seconds
        * Size of file: 500 KiloBytes
        * Estimated line speed: 157.1 (kilobits/second)
        * Estimated line speed: 19.2 (kiloBytes/second)
    Code:
    http://www4.gam.co.za/connectivity/bandwidth.php

    Your current bandwidth reading is:
    159.80kbps

    which means you can download at 19.98 KB/sec. from our servers.
    Code:
    http://www.broadbandreports.com/stest?loc=97

    dslreports.com speed test result on 2006-05-10 14:49:02 EST:
    141 / 147
    Your download speed : 141 kbps or 17.7 KB/sec.

    Your upload speed : 147 kbps or 18.3 KB/sec.
    Looks like even international I get almost my full 192kb/s
