Thread: K3570-Z not picking up mtn sim

    Default K3570-Z not picking up mtn sim

    Today I went and got a mtn simcard for the 2gb bundle, but my K3570-Z modem won't pick it up but the mtn sim card works fine in a phone and my 8ta and vodacom is working fine in my modem

    any ideas?

    In short. Unload Vodafone software from memory, including system tray. To do that, go to the options and select options:
    - do not load at startup
    - remove from system tray on exit

    Then use other Windows dialup connection (created by Vodafone) do establish connection. Or any other dashboard application.

    I am using my 8ta sim this way and it works fine but even my mdma software is not picking up the sim

    It is an indication that Vodafone software is not onloaded from memory. Look at the system tray. If present, then it grabs modem's diagnostice COM port for exclusive use ad mdma won't be able to find modem.
    Windows dialup connection use different modem COM port, so it is able to establish connection.

    I have uninstall it before this, and its not running did check

    If you were using the Opco file mod that Ginngs linked to in the thread (Post #4) it didn't include MTN before - i've now edited it so it does.That may have been what your problem was.

    Found the problem they gave me a SIMCARD that does not work with modems and only cellphones
