Very disappointing loss and with it my interest in Euro 2012 died.
German impotency and defensive frailty cost them. So good at building up but they lacked the teeth to finish and so often was their defense found lacking. Badstuber letting Balotelli beat him for the first was shocking. He had it covered bu somehow let him get to the ball first. And for the second, what the heck was the defense doing? It parted like the Red Sea and Balotelli strolled into space.
On the offensive side, they bag 34 goals in 10 qualifiers - only the Dutch scored more - and suddenly they cannot finish things off when it counts. They made the Greeks look better than what theye were as well.
Germany are quickly becoming world football's bridesmaids. World Cup runners-up in 2002. 3rd place at World Cups 2006 & 2010. Euro 2008 runners-up. Beaten semi-finalists at Euro 2012. So much talent is being wasted.

beckham was dropped and stuff and came back and always did well and with balotelli he does the stupidest things and when the time is right its all him
as for germany ...why kroos when reus could have started with oezil in the middle

So dumb how the press was saying that Germany fell on their own sword and how they buckled... Italy out played them, they stuck 2 defenders on Gomez whilst they used Pirlo to thwart the German's attack as Gomez was used to stop Pirlo
