3gig modem unable to connect - no signal

Hi,

I purchased the 3gig special for R599 today.
Installed the Connector software on my windows xp sp2 laptop.
Opened Connector software but I am unable to click the connect button.
Signal shows no bars.
Tried sim card on my cell phone and works fine.

Please help
