Default Does Vodacom not have stock controllers?

So I have 3 data contracts with Vodacom. Over the past 4 months all 3 of them needed upgrading. Every time, they did not have the device in stock that they advertised as 'this awesome special'. Each time its about a 2 to 4 week waiting time. Does the stuff come from the moon?

Not just one shop, the entire Free State and from what I could find Gauteng seems to be having the same issues.

Is it so hard to keep track of stock and order in advance? Its hardly like a router goes off after the expiry date or something....

    Very unprofessional and annoying...

If you are referring to the K3772 modem, there is currently a shortage of it. Stock is allocated to stores on a daily basis as they come in @ warehouse.
Now why you loer en kyk gelyk?

so the modems is also out of stock... I was referring to the routers as I said in my post. Does Vodacom plan on ever improving their stock situations or do they just rely on 'the customer being happy doesn't really matter he will come back in 2 weeks' ?

R201 router - Shipment due end of May 2012.
B683 Router - Next shipment due on the 21st of May 2012.

If the supplier is having issues supplying, there is not much that can be done. No, I did not say the modems are out of stock...I said it is being allocated daily...so if the store you are trying to get a modem from do not have modems currently, they should get shortly provided they have on order.

    Kind Regards:

I see. so its not Vodacom's fault or problem. Blame it on someone else, if not Telkom then suppliers. cool.

Go buy from 8ta ... , like I did, bugger Vodacom, now when I plug my modem into my laptop, my clients see a 8ta branded product ... , good free advertising that Vodacom is loosing out on ... , and they have only themselves to blame

    Or just get it online

    So much easier.

There is that option as well, but buying a "branded" modem hurts them more ...

So much for love and understanding . At one stage of my life I was a Vodacom and Telkom ( 8ta ) client . Support from Telkom was so bad ( waiting 1/2hour+ for someone to answer the phone with support call - so long that my ear would start aching ) that I unsubscribed from all Telkom services . So there .....
