Another 95% thumbsuck? You seems to have no clue about the difference between migrant workers and skilled people leaving because they cannot get a job. Most skilled never return and real statistics shows different data patterns than what you are claiming. These "migrant" workers working abroad while family stay do not really contribute to our economy the way they would have if they were allowed to practice their skills locally.

Nope, they have settled in UK, Canada, USA, Australia. Won't be back.

And won't show in any emigration stats, left with nothing.

Couldn't get jobs here but well enough qualified to easily get jobs there, in spite of the poor economic conditions.

It's pretty common, in spite of denialists like yourself.

Edit : Also found the comment by another MyBB member a while ago interesting - he walked into a police station in Howick, NZ, and the cops were talking to each other in Afrikaans. But it is common knowledge that many top policemen have left for the UK and Australia.

Good, their actions will result in millions and millions more whites being safe. And we're doing quite alright without them.

Of course some will blame the artist. But I blame the ANC and Government for their retaliatory responses that were totally over the top. They are using this incident as a God-sent unifying call to rally behind their leader ahead of the Mangaung 2012 conference. They will manipulate Zuma into a second term of office by playing on the sympathies of the masses. Oldest trick in the book; they could not have wished for anything better! And they don't care about the effect their manipulations have on the populace....
Have to agree with this ...

Nah, unless they are the student type going for holiday jobs. If I look at all the people I knew from school the majority that got degreed (university/tech), left the country and started families, I know of only 2 that came back. They all seem to start off in the UK/ireland and from there spread to Canada, USA, Aus, NZ if they don't remain in the UK/Ireland. I only really noticed this the other day. And I can tell you now they don't intend on coming back unless it's for a holiday to see family. They might complain about the schitty uk & how they miss home but they reckon they are better off. My brother is one of them. This is just people from school, people I worked with (that I knew personally) I put in the 15% range that left, they already have families, moved their capital (and got others to 'carry it' for them, sars is a biatch) and essentially started over, they have not returned and already have residency/citizenship, I don't see them returning. The issue of brain drain is bigger than you think or maybe just not as prevalent in your environment. This is just what I know of, how many others have similar experiences. Hell between canada, usa, oz/nz they probably have more of our medical staff than we have left.

When you hear people talk about their children overseas they are sad that they are there but they would prefer if they did not return.

Nope we are not, the economic future of this country is bleak, there are too few taxpayers supporting too many grant receivers.

And I'm not even considering the massive amounts lost to corruption.

If you cannot see this then you are truly shortsighted.

Do you think everyone who left is as understanding as we are? Not a chance. Misunderstanding (besides $) is what leads to brain drain.

Trust me I am fighting for your cause.

Yes, I know many of these.

I would prefer it if my kids left - at least there is Skype !

Nope, the kids know exactly why they are leaving.

You don't leave a country like this without good reason.

    Which kids?

    1. Your kids? Don't apply their traits to other kids.
    2. Other kids? When did you matriculate?

The only revolution that we needed was for the ANC to improve on Bantu Education.

Instead they have made it significantly worse, and that is the real reason why BEE is a massive failure and needs to be abolished.

You are comparing Bantu education with the current system? That's sick.

But yes I agree it's what the ANC need to do and have failed.

Your statement just proves that you have no idea what you are talking about.

Rural education, in many areas (eg Limpopo and Eastern Cape) is worse that it has ever been.
