will do, they are not mine but the guy selling them is a friend and I was with him today and saw he was listing them. I do not know if the cartridges are the "family computer" ones as I never looked at the name (he had some on the table) but they were similar http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/item/69525...KOMBAT_II.html . here is his last sale and I see the Intellivision items are not listed yet so keep a look out if you guys are interested.

    This type?

Definitely fakes, but not to worry just about all these are fake in SA.
Some are more scarce then others though.

There must be a market if they are selling at R35 a pop and people are buying.

I see some of those carts selling for up to R60 a pop, so there must be a market.

You gave me the idea though.

I used to have a NES Famicom from when I was a kid - probably from 1991 or so - when I went to college my sister did a house spring cleaning and decided to give my NES away to a cash converter. I am still upset about that TO THIS DAY! I never let her forget it! =(

Mortal Kombat wasn't even officially ported to the NES, so the pirates coded their own port. They were quite nifty back then

Yeah, but the gameplay was so pathetic, and far from the original that i loved the versions of the game just to see how the little NES could dumb it down.

Here is a great NES hack of a game that was actually quite good...

I actually have a Soul Edge or Soul Caliber cartridge for the Sega Megadrive!

And as you can imagine, its 2D with decent graphics but gameplay is .

    @Wayne, i see so.

Most of those prices are ridiculous though, and i have seen many of those carts in Chinese R5 shops in Cape Town.
Still he has a few single carts that are relatively rare.

Ahh finally my Super Famicom arrived from Japan.

Right i have done some research on Retr0bright to remove the yellowing from my Super Famicom, and i have some urgent questions to those who have done something similar.
Do i need to disassemble the console for Retr0bright if i intend to use it as a gel?
Will this remove the logo's embedded in the plastic of the Super Famicom console?
Its going to rain the entire weekend, so how can i make a cheap effective UV light?

    I appreciate any input.

I have not used retrobright yet but have done some extensive reading on it.

Do NOT make the solution stronger, rather weaker and do more sessions.

Strip the entire console and give the plastics a wash with a nail brush and sunlight dish washing liquid in warm water.

Apply your retrobright gel and then wrap the piece in 1 or 2 layers of cling film so evaporation is not so much of an issue.

The logos will remain, they might however fade slightly. Another reason why it's better to do multiple sessions with a weaker solution.

UV light you basically have to go buy, you cant really 'make' one.

Ponder, thank you i just saw a youtube video of some dude who did the retr0bright thing but and when he had finished the restored yellow was not the same shade of grey,so i am going to take my time with this one.
I will absolutely take your advice and prepare.
I sit here with a bottle of hydrogen peroxide 20 volume and don't know what percentage it is.
I have Glycerine and the Vanish power O2 which is the same as oxybright(non-bleach),and just need to find Xanthar gum(good God what is that!).

Gel vs liquid is another thing im considering now, since im going to have to do the whole Chasis.

At least i already have the gamebit screwdriver to open the machine.

    Thanks Ponder.
