    Thumbs up My 8ta experience

    Hey Guys/Gals,

Mods can move this thread, if they want it else where.

Since I can't get Amobia at my current place of residence, I have started looking for something else to use for online gaming. I don't want to get telkom, since I might not be staying here for much longer. So, I was looking at 3G, which I know isn't the best for online gaming, but don't really have much choice...

Anyway, I tested MTN, VC, CellC, 8ta and iBurst. The VC and 8ta are prepaid sim cards and I used the K3765 modem. All tests was done with a dial up connection, using *99# and the modem was on the same place and position for all tests.

MTN - Been useless since I got here, even on my iPhone

iBurst - Didn't expect much, since coverage is poor here

    CellC - Looking good

    Vodacom - Not to bad

    8ta - My choice

    For now, I bought the 2GB + 1GB special of 8ta @ R149 (Costs deducted was actually R146 )

Online games I will be playing is COD BO and MW3.

So far so good. Getting some timeouts to the servers on MW3, but haven't check for optimal position for the modem yet.

Ok, so besides someone else (Rudi Dreyer - whoever you are) committing fraud with my ID number at 8ta with 5 different simcards, I eventually got my prepaid 8ta sim with 2+1Gig promo.

Speedtest results have never and will never be an indication of gaming performance. Ever.

Bought myself a Huawei B683 router and I can safely say my 8ta experience just went from great to absolutely excellent! Love it! Well done guys!
