So much free internet and yet Telkom still charges the ordinary man an arm and leg for ADSL line rental.

because most south african hotels dont offer any internet acess for free
Some times the internet is so slow, it would be faster to just fly to Google's headquarters and ask them this $h1t in person.!

... and it is to communicate the END of their rollout. Now I can get free WiFi in remote places when I stay in Protea Hotels. The initial rollout covered the bigger hotels first (logically).

Thats nice for all the people who use less than 100mb per day.

Ow well, for other people, at least it saves them from paying for 100mb of data.

And if you go on holiday, and spend your time in the hotel surfing the 'net, you're doing it wrong.

I suppose so, pictures and video's you might have taken on 1 day of a holiday are well above 100mb.

Every chain hotel I have stayed in in Africa and South Africa have always had at some sort of free wifi. The fact that protea doesn't shocks me.
