The biggest problem with Nokia for me is their total lack of communication or care for their customers.
I would like the 808, I must admit, but Nokia cannot tell me when, or even if, it will be available in SA and I just hate their attitude which is basically just to ignore you.

There is one very important reason why I would go for an iPhone rather than an Android or Nokia and that is the iStore.
An actual store you can walk into and get support for your product.

I've never seen an HTC store in my life, though admittedly, I think I've seen 1 Samsung store at Canal Walk in CT.
iStores, on the other hand, are everywhere. It's convenient.

Last year I was in London and had a problem with my Nokia phone - it was a total nightmare trying to get support from anywhere. I wasn't looking out for Samsung or HTC shops (obviously) but I do remember at least 2 iStores...

On my 5230 it's a pita to open/sens smses.... on my galaxy si9000 its easy and quick.

Same reason I still keep my 6110 Nav and 2710 Nav. Sms etc is a breeze on them too.
