Been working fine at 10Mbit for the past 7 months at about 12db downstream. Suddenly today I'm down to 3dB and can barely synch. The weird thing is I can faintly hear the modem when listening with my handset. I first thought it was line noise but its definitely the sound of the modem. Switch modem off and all is clear. Turn modem on and immediately the noise is back when listening on the handset. I've tried 2 different modems with the same result. I've also removed the filter and the telephone completely so only the internet is active and still have the same problem with it synching at 2Mbits and dropping every so often. I don't think its just my line thats suddenly gone bad as I've never heard the modem on the handset before, so I'm thinking it may be related?
