Thread: Something freakin' annoying ... can it be fixed?

In FF, that element or whatever it is there, sits on top of the layers of webpage. So I can't click on anything underneath it. I have to scroll down further until the button I want is out of that area, before I can click..

    Make sense?

Yes please lose that survey thing. I use Flashblock with Chrome so it also blocks that portion of the webpage and have to double-click it to activate it to clear that space
Why is it even loading it if I have rejected it already?

And why do you need to keep this survey running forever?

I managed to get rid of it with adblock. I can't remember what it was that I blocked, but I spent quite a while trying to find it. I'll check when I start up my netbook again.

I think it was effectivemeasures.net - I just blocked everything from them. This problem was especially irritating on my netbook as it occupied a substantial part of the screen.

Along with Element Hiding Helper for Adblock Plus, I block anything and everything that bothers me. On mybb and elsewhere.

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...lemhidehelper/

OP can block that element already identified.

Was just looking for a place to post a thread about this. Really getting on my tits now.

I'm using Chrome and it does the same thing, its especially when trying to click through forum pages as I keep on having to scroll up to click them. I have AdblockPlus installed, doesn't do anything.

EDIT: Aahh, fixed it. Had to add ABP filter twice for some reason. Epic. Thanks for this post.

You guys are complaining about this on your netbooks and PCs. You should see how bad it is on a smartphone! Can't we petition RPM to remove it?

Disable Javascript to get rid of an Adobe Flash problem? That's backwards. And the web wouldn't be the same without Javascript and jQuery.

Flash needs to die already. Why aren't we seeing greater adoption of HTML5?

No one gives an [expletive]... unless you can describe your problem effectively.
