My prepaid data SIM is reported to be on the EasyChat allday tariff plan.

The only two options available when dialing 141 to change are:
    EasyChat per second
    EasyChat Standard

No other 99c tariff plans available at all.

Seems like the prepaid data SIM's are locked to the EasyChat tariff plan only, with no EasyChat 99c option either.

CELL C I am trying to get on the for real package it has chowed many R5,00 now, but still not on the for real package. Your call centre doesn't now what todo I get different opinions of what to do after dialing 141. Please inform us what is the correct sequence.

    I tried the following 141 3 4
    and
What the call centre agent told me

    141 3 3

None of them have put me on the for real package, but they happily chow R5,00 of my airtime.

For your info, I just moved from a contract which expired to prepaid, maybe the issue is there, but then cellc better sorts it out and stop chowing my R5,00 all the time and give me back the R5,00 airtime it has stolen.

Now I am on prepaid it is easy to port, so if you are willing to say goodbye to a customer for many many years do your self a favor and don't fix the problem

Looks Like CELL C call centre is not being able to assist me so Good Bye

IT Took about 4 calls to the call centre and about R25,00 of airtime to finally get changed. Guess thats an easy way to make money.

Why Are there no proper instructions on a webiste ? Your 141 service is crappy and confusing. Why is this the only way to change it seeing it is crappy.

This R25,00 will probably cost you a long term cellc customer as I am seriously consider porting

Had a 2gb monthly data package which has now expired but I use the number for voice calls.
I cant seem to change the tariff, when I dial 141 and press 3 it just says 'This selection is not valid, goodbye' and the call ends.

@cell c rep, please help me I would like to change it to the 99c for real plan.

I've just called the call centre now and was told it is not possible to change the tariff plan on pre-paid data SIMs.
If I want to change to the 99c for real tariff plan I need to buy a new SIM card and get a new number.
Apparently a SIM swap won't work as the new SIM will get the same tariff plan as the original SIM.

Often what the call centre says and what official policy is are two different things. Would still like to hear from the Cell_C rep though.

My brother ported from a Vodacom prepaid micro sim card to a Cell C micro sim card to use on his iPhone.
It's not a data sim card, yet he can't change tariffs.

The call centre says it a micro sim card issue, Facebook says they are aware of the issue and working on it.
The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

Existing clients don't want to buy a new sim card with a new number, sort your issues out Cell C.

I thought it would be a solution. Now is a serious problem. Why serious? Because customer might think it was intentional. It has to be fixed quick.

My brother received a SMS from Cell C stating that they can't change his tariff plan to "99c for Real" cause it's a DATA sim card.

His sim card is a MICRO sim card, not a DATA sim card. He's been using that same MICRO sim card for over a year now on his iPhone 4.

So everyone on a MICRO sim card (Prepaid) with an iPhone can't change to "99c for Real" tariff?

the guy at the till was so confused as he said that he had done the exactly the same thing for so many other people and it worked.

Default CellC Prepaid- Can't change the tariff plan

I have a CellC prepaid SIM, I had 2GB per month one year data bundle finished in Feb 2012, now I wanted to use the same number to make calls and trying to get the 99c for real tariff on it. I have been trying to change the tariff plan since two weeks now by calling customer care and going to cellc store, none of them seems to have an idea of how to change the tariff plan.

Cell_C can you help me with this one?

You can not change your tariff on DATA sim cards.

    Been discussed here.

My data package had finished in Feb 2012, shouldn't it be just a prepaid SIM after that?
