Just to get an overall idea, can someone with access to an MTN/CELL C/Whatever BB + Vodacom BB please compare the service levels(Just give a personal opinion on speed), cause knowing the reliability of BB, I'm beginning to think Vodacom is not alone with these issues![]()
They are ditching it because of its OS not because of BIS or BES
from what i've seen the Vodacom Blackberry Pipe in SA gets upgraded way before it reaches its threshold & its not running at full capacity atm either.
I think i need to move back to Full BIS to test as im currently using BIS on the Vodacom BES server so my experience would be different to the average user.
As for the slow speeds, I'm going to ask the RIM solution specialist assigned to VC and see what She says & post back.

My BIS is working again.

I suffered for TWO years with crappy BIS from Vodacom, so I do hope my BIS does not degrade again.
I seriously doubt vodacom fixed anything. I think you owe sphere![]()
I really don't want to be a spoil sport, but my browsing on BIS still sucks. BBM is fast, but opening websites is dog slow.

On device web browsing is very fast. I am experiencing no disconnects / time-outs.
Web pages open instantaneously. BBM messages go through immediately. Emails hit my device timeously.
My Blackberry experience is finally working the way it was designed to.
I have a feeling the backhaul on the site that serves me has been upgraded by Vodacom.
