The WA tool allows you to reset your port and set your line sync speed.

As far as I'm aware, it is something we are interested in offering, but at this stage we don't have anything in development for the current version of ClientZone.

Will definitely make this suggestion to our designers/developers and see if it's something they can plan for future versions.

AfriMan is there a restriction (like MWeb) with regards to SSL connections on Usenet?

Ok so now I have full line speed again on my 1MB uncapped, could it have been a technical fault that I was getting 50% speed even though I used more than the 120GB mentioned on these forums?

As far as I'm aware, we don't have any restrictions on Usenet or news servers. Best to send me a more detailed query so I can check with our server admin. Just drop me a PM

I am really impressed with my 1mbps uncapped account from Afrihost.

It is truly a breath of fresh air! Everything is flying near max and my ping is a stable 25 ms.

@Afriman, can you tell us what we can expect in terms of the upgrade from 1mb to 2mb by telkom?? will the current 1mb be converted to 2mb at the same price or can we expect to pay more??

At this stage, I haven't been given a definitive answer, so I don't want to make promises or cause unnecessary panic. You can be assured that this is being discussed and researched and we will prioritise our clients needs first. Telkom still have not given us a definitive answer on the pricing changes, we had an extensive meeting with them recently, so that is a big hinderance to making an official announcement.

thanks Afriman, will be giving afrihost a try for August and hopefully we can get some positive news about the 2mb upgrade soon ... as the way it stands, mweb is cheaper for a 1mb bundle!!

I can promise that we have something in the pipeline that will be awesome, but at the moment it's pretty much under wraps. When we launch our new prices/products, it will make a splash, I'm pretty sure.

Anyone in CPT currently experiencing slow speeds? Usually full 10mbit at this time of day, but I can barely manage 350k/sec at the moment and speedtest is all over the place. Waiting on a support ticket to be answered by Afrihost - but just wondering if anyone else was experiencing the same thing.

Got your PM, did the speeds degrade again after your last message?

Just want to add my 2c. Got 4mbps account yesterday. Downloading is going nicely, gaming performance in Battlefield 3 was awesome. All in all very impressed with Afrihost so far.
