Would me being on a MSANs possibly explain why my speeds remain good?
Just been doing some tests and it is looking good again, normally at this time local latency would be around 200+ms, now down to 20's

I notice a difference international routing, and this strange dial-up entry, could that be causing the higher latency?

My speeds are good now - getting 4mb no probs! Cape Town, Southern Suburbs.
Public holiday, folks. Just keep it in mind.
Just checking in.
I'll probably be able to test on Saturday.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Since 21-1-13
Samsung Galaxy S3 since 23-6-12
BB 9900 since 30-12-11

I hate complaining so much, but is anyone getting anything better out there?

Speed is terrible yesterday and today
1mb uncapped account and I'm not even getting half that! Set a file do download overnight and it's only downloaded about 23% this morning.
Apologies @Afrihost. Changed my line to my telkom data account and it is extremely slow as well!

I've been using a capped 4Mbps Afrihost account for the duration of the IPC upgrade and it's been great. I switched back to my business uncapped account today, just to see if there's been any improvement, and I'm not getting much more than 2Mbps. My opinion that it's throttling remains unchanged. Will know for sure when we get a proper business day on Monday.![]()
Sounds like in general things have gotten better, that's really great to hear. I'm told that although Telkom's upgrade was the bulk of the issue, IS will continue fine tuning the network over the weekend, and everything should stabilise by Monday.
This should be a good indication as much of the business traffic is only going to return to full capacity after the long weekend.
Please keep posting your experiences and results so I can monitor how things progress.
