Anyone with an opinion that doesnt agree with you is trolling? Im not doing this to try evoke emotional reactions dude.... Im doing this because I believe it to be true. I hardly comment in mac threads these days due to the faithful shouting "troll!" at anyone who doesnt jump into line with their opinion.

The PD section is less hostile and allows more opinions than this section.

No, I jumped into an over priced Macbook thread and showed people where they can get better value for money. Do you only want one kind of opinion in here and no opinions that conflict with yours? Sounds like a funny thing to do in a public forum.

If it was a thread about a simple iFixit teardown of an M18X and I came in, proceeded to tell everyone how deluded they were and how they should rather get a Macbook Pro, that would be trolling. Ipso facto, you're trolling.

Personally, I wouldn't be seen dead carrying a Alienware M18x - it screams "sleep-deprived gamer nerd". If they chucked one in my coffin, I would rise from the dead and my zombie would beat people over the head with it.

I see a part where I say people buy it cause its pretty and sparkles (and I even compliment that point by saying thats why I am going to buy a macbook air)... Well put it this way, I came to the thread thinking we'd be discussing the iFixit teardown of the Macbook Pro, and debating Apple's decision to solder the memory and so forth, only to find you'd pooped on it from a great height like some spiteful seagull in Camps Bay over my fish and chippies with this M18X propaganda, as though anybody needs reminding of what alternatives are out there (or as though any potential Macbook owners would seriously consider an Alienware as an alternative in any case). So yes I'm having a nice old go at you, you're well out of order.

Actually, I take back what I said about the Alienware. It's got a decent display, with 1080p and good contrast ratio. Unlike most laptops. Kudos. Still only a TN panel of course. The new MBP display is infinitely better. 2880x1800 IPS. It is also way thinner, got better battery life, better trackpad and keyboard, build quality and software. The only aspect which the Alienware wins in is GPU performance.

Honestly, in both looks and screen, the macbook wins.. but yah. While thats good for a light system like a mac air.... not sure if I want only a nice screen (which you can get on an ipad) on a high end power laptop.

I imagine resolution like that is super important only to graphic and video peeps.
