Thread: Please help setting up email on Nokia N9

Default Please help setting up email on Nokia N9

I'm trying to setup a telkom account on a Nokia N9 but the phone refuses to let me leave the username and password blank for the outgoing server which is vodamail. Now I know that the smtp.vodamail.co.za doesn't require a username or password but the phone just plain refuses to finish setting up the account without them.

    Any help appreciated.

Edit: Ok I realize now that I confused the N9 with windows phone, can someone move the thread to the right place please?

Why don't you just put your vodamail username and password in? If you want to send Telkom email via a Vodacom server, they will require username and password.

Make your in/out going mail the same, activate secure loging.

your device will send/receive no matter the network and no need to change it....
