    From a how-to:

To enable this script to access Sickbeard, you’ll have to enter some info in the scripts config file. You find this under the same directory as the script. In this example, it’s located here: “C:\Program Files\Sickbeard\autoProcessTV\autoProcessTV.cfg.sa mple”. This name has to be changed to “autoProcessTV.cfg and you’ll have to enter your Sickbeard login info in the file. Open it and enter the correct port, username and password for sickbeard. If sickbeard is located on another computer you’ll have to change the host address as well. Web_root can be left blank.
    Hope this helps!

In SABnzbd go to Config -> Folders, 'Post-Processing Scripts Folder' must be set to the folder containing scripts for post-processing, which in my case is .sickbeard/autoProcessTV.

Now configure your categories to use the script, or click 'Show Edit Options' on the home screen and select sabToSickBeard.py manually.

I am still running one of the original sickbeard/sabnzbd installs (though sickbeard has updated itself) and my setup is simpler than above, sabnzbd drops the file of in Downloads/Completed/TV and Sickbeard just scans that folder for new files then automatically post process them for me.

    Yea, exactly that ^

Why on earth would you need sickbeard to do more than that? The only post processing sickbeard does is rename the file and move it to the correct location. Unpacking/repairing is all done my sabnzdb.

does your sabnzbd setup create a subdirectory for each completed download? So for instance Downloads/Completed/TV/Lost.S01.E01/

i guess the question is whether sickbeard looks at all directories below Downloads/Completed/TV

It does, and Sickbeard pick the files up inside that sub-folder. If I manually extract a file directly into Downloads/Completed/TV/ Sickbeard picks those up as well.

It seems I just hadn't ticked the option for sickbeard to process that folder
