- Olympus E-PL2 interchangable lens, large sensor camera (downsampled from 12MP to 8MP)

Why? Well, it clearly has a lot of micro-contrast, and appears to have a lot of sharpening applied (or has been downsampled in way that maximises micro-contrast), which is what I would expect from a cellphone.
And I think "E" is the E-PL2, based on the shadow detail shot, and the fact that image "E" appears to have much less sharpening applied.
And "A" is for Apple
Anyone else want to hazard a guess?

I'd go with :
Nokia 808 = F, it looks very good and there is very little noise reduction
Nokia N8 = B, good image and the large sensor gives better dynamic range
HTC = D, ok, but look like a 1:1 view
Apple = C, not that great and its clear this is a 1:1 view
Samsung = A, good but very smooth.
Olympus = E, great dynamic range, little noise.

We've stripped the EXIF info from all the photos, so no one will be tempted to check it and let it affect their votes. And here goes the first couple of 100% crops from each shot should help you make up your mind.

Indeed. I am really impressed by Nokia for choosing sensible processing settings, e.g, they did not oversharpen the image, or set the JPEG compression factor too high.
Sony engineers should take a look at the Nokia phone cameras. I mean, the Xperia Ray has a Sony Exmor sensor, which is related to the Nikon D7000's sensor, but no one will believe that if they compare image quality
