I am unable to view Gumtree on my BB9300 successfully, wherupon my wife with the exact same phone view perfectly. Upon typing hyperlink path address the screen only indicate white with no display access.

Enable Javascrips as Laro696 said. I have the same phone.
Brilliant advice. The enabling of Java script has done the trick.
How to Enable (Turn On) JavaScript in your BlackBerry browser
1. Open your BlackBerry browser
2. Click Menu and select options BB
3. The attached image will display the page with the “Enable JavaScript”
4. Tick the option to turn on javascript.
