The Euro football presenters are lame, especially the anchor (or whatever he is called), I was wondering how he got the job, he should be placed on SABC 1 or something.

Glad I'm not the only one that thinks this of the supersport presenters. Their team for the Euro's has been shocking...most of the panel can't even speak English.

Barnes, Bailey and Paine are the best. Actually know football and can explain their point of views well...where the others repeat the same things over and over.

Don't get me started on the hosts Robert and Thomas - The woman host is better than them.

Biggest irritation - Sami can't even say penalty! hahaha!

Barnes is the best. Paine is decent. Used to like Eddie Lewis. Dont really like Bailey. "Ronaldo is now better than Messi" after scoring two goals in one game at the Euros.

Arendse and Bartlett are clueless.

Why doesn't DStv just find the best pre-race show out there, and screen it. Yes, it will cost them, but we're already paying for this premium exclusive service... We should be demanding the best-available content. In your case you've probably got uncapped internet... for someone like me, that's an additional cost I shoudn't have to pay cos i'm already paying for "premium" coverage of F1, just not getting it.

I've found a neat trick to avoid the 3 idiots, at least for qualifying. If its being shown in Maximo (SS8), watch it on there and switch the audio channel. In between the sessions, they jump to the BBC team and you don't have to endure the local 'experts'. It makes a massive difference. Gary Anderson is an actual F1 Guru, not Sasha!

I don't watch studio discussions anyway. I'd rather participate in a discussion with fellow fans, like here on MyBB.

Commentators on the other hand are a different issue. We have no choice but to listen to them, so quality does count there.

I hate the commentator who commentates euro on is. He doesn't know the difference between the upright and post and it's annoying listening to one commentator

Ok, so i had to start a new thread for this cos i'm not the only one who sees what a joke the supersport presenters are.
For the Euros we've got these clowns:
Robert "this particular" Marawa is the worst.
Kamza aka "talk-fast-so-it-disguises-that-i'm-not-saying-anything-meaningful" kills me.
And then there's the recently acquired Carol Manana (...Tshabalala)! God help us all!!!!
And dishonorable mentions to Bartlett, Arendse, and Amokachi.

F1 is just as bad: Sasha / Gary / Vic ... OMW!!!
There was that outage in the commentary for the beginning of the Canadian GP and I almost had to listen to them commentate!!! Luckily the HD channel at least had the audio feed coming in from the track without any commentary.
I'm not a rugby fan, but judging from the "most annoying commentator" thread it looks like those guys are on par with these.
How can we have 50m people in our land but no decent sports analysts???
Well, ok... i think Gary Bailey is good, and the one time they had Steve Komphela as a guest (some years ago, for AFCON I think) was quite interesting (mostly cos he's the undisputed king of one-liners! I love that guy!).

I'm a Lions fan and truth be told, they suck. They've sucked for years. Of all the Super Rugby franchises (excluding the Rebels) they have the fewest wins and worst points difference.

Im not suggesting they have not sucked... But have we been looking at the contributing factors as too why? The Cats were a disaster for both unions, financially and mentally, it cost both unions millions which we both had to rebuild from, then came mismanagement and total incompetence...then we started rebuilding again and won the CC, then even experts were saying we should end mid to three qaurter table...and then we lost just about our whole starting lineup and had to recruit Varsity Cup players...Will you ever tell your kid he sucks? No ? Thats because you you are a true supporter of your kid!
