Explicit FTP over TLS: Problems anyone?

Hi

As of yesterday we can no longer establish any "explicit FTP over TLS" connections with Vodacom 3G. TLS reaches a lag state and refuses to initialise. Connection drops. I have done all the troubleshooting possible between the web host and our systems - ADSL works fine with no problems.

I have contacted the Vodacom helpdesk and of course they have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about. "If you can access the internet then it's working" - This is what I'm told. Fantastic support :-)

Anyone experiencing the same problems?

Received a call from a very helpful guy at Vodacom, Allister - it's been escalated to the Cisco guys. So appears there may be a problem. Will revert with feedback.. :-)

Have you tried the unrestricted APN? Often fix these funnies.

Hi Jannie,

Yes tried that, no luck. However they have eventually fixed the problem as of today. Settings had changed on the Vodacom Firewall. All back to normal.
