    It's sounds like more work to apply the gel than showering.

    I think the point is that people who do not have ready access to clean water or enough water would be able to use this.

    Not that it is easier to use.

    ... and frankly without being politically incorrect I can think of a lot of people who could do with some of this!

    It is a step...but a very small one. I cant imagine life without a good soak in the bath or a lekker hot shower with water pressure that makes your skin hurt just a little.

    When we getting sonic showers like in Star Trek??????????
    Now why you loer en kyk gelyk?
    Is ek miskien van goud gemake?

    I also don't think so... sounds too clinical and boring.... which is why I am not all excited about this discovery personally, but I can see it's uses!

    Should be great for students this invention. No surprise it was invented by one of them. If only he can move along and invent something that washes your jeans while you wear them on. That'd make him rich because I know people who used the same pair of jeans all term long.

    Doubt it. The US Armed forces even have freakin aircon on their bases.. They will have running water, and if you mean out in the field, it is common practice for the guys not to shower, as the strange smells and stuff can scare off wildlife if they are doing recon or similar, causing their position to be compromised..
