A local Gauteng municipality had apparently decided to celebrate the fact that it had been issued with a qualified audit by ordering a batch of T-shirts be made to mark the event.

Oh my word, how embarassing for them.The municipality, which Mokonyane would not name, had apparently been confused because “in English ‘qualified’ means you have passed.”
They should name and shame, so ratepayers in that municipality know what clowns they are paying for.
I say name and shame! Not that anyone feels much shame at being incompetent these days.
So someone has a job that doesn't know anything about audits.. Another day in SA. Where we strive to be as corrupt and incompetent as possible.

Where was the controls for irregular expenditure? Won't be suprised if this idiot's bossman took one look at the requisition and probably suggested what color they should be.
