My BB is downloading old emails

For the last week or so my BB Bold 9900 has been downloading emails that have already been attended to and deleted from my POP3 server. The emails are showing up on my phone but when I download email on Outlook there is nothing there. The emails seem to go back about 2 weeks or so. I have deleted them from the phone and a little later the phone will download them again. I have removed my BB email account, reset the phone, recreated the email account and the problem persists. Please can someone help me.

Further to this: MTN's response was for me to factory reset my phone, the muppet responding to my email didn't even make any enquiries about the problem, good thing he is not a mechanic otherwise we would be replacing the engine in my car! My response was no problem, will try Vodacom out this weekend. Touch wood I have had no issues since Thursday but we will see. Ironically though in the last 3 days my websites have been offline, I have had issues with both MTN and Vodacom 3G signal and last night the DSTV would only show certain channels, got to love technology!

But I am suprised no-one else has had this issue with their BB's? And Mike Smit, you are right, I swore I would never have a BB but in Dec a friend was in some difficulties and I bought his 9900 for a really good price (more just to help him, was happy with my Nokia!), just goes to show what happens when you try and help others!!
