Need help with spilitter for DSTV HD PVR 2p

Hi Guys
Heres my situation
I have a HD PVR 2p decoder and I live in a complex with a single LNB (communal)connection to my flat, Now i want to connect my decoder to this connection available (the body corp will not upgrade to 2 lnb setup), I understand I need some sort of spilitter that connects the Decorders double connectors at the back to the one output from the wall,
Now what spilitter do i get ? i have confirmed the complex has no specific network settings that will needed to be added after connecting spilitter.
I know of two spilitter types :
Ellies 2 Way DC Power Pass Splitter on 2 Outputs 5 - 1000MHZ
Samsat 2 Way F Splitter With DC Power Pass 5 - 2400MHz
Which will work and what will have to be done after connecting the spilitter and what limitations will i have

No limitations. Just get settings as every complex uses different settings

Limitations: You'll only be able to watch + record channels with the same polarity. If you're recording a channel and switch to a channel with a different polarity you'll get a blank screen. What's worse: If you're watching a channel and your SO's set a recording to start on a channel with different polarity, her recording will fail. I can't begin to explain the K.A.K you'll be in when she realizes that episode of the Karducheians didn't record.

So far I've potentially identified the following channels as different polarity to MNET, MM1, MM2, SS1, etc.: Entertainment, Fashion, BBCK. If anyone else has a complete list, it be useful.

As far as the type of splitters: Fnose.

So, one sattelite cable out of wall into splitter, from splitter two satellite cables into 2 in's on back of pvr. Make sure u reset software settings prior to loading complex settings, scan - done

They probably have a Satcr lnb for the complex, or else you would have a problem if a neighbour changes channels as well.

I just confirmed again the complex is plug and play according to the estate agent and the DSTV guys, so what next?

Not all complexes have settings to give full functionality and it does not sound like yours does... Also, no complex has a SatCR setup. Unskinnybob is correct.

If you get a splitter, get a one that covers the 950-2150MHz range. All the big suppliers (Space TV, Samsat, Ellies) will have these. It's not like Ellies's splitters cover one range and Samsat's cover another.

I had similar problem where only had single jack for a communal dish. Tried a splitter and didn't work for sh*t: just put up my own dish. Thankfully not sectional title so they can't do much.
