    Default Anti-depressant and weight gain

I have read that using Eglonyl for PND can cause weight gain.

I would like to know if the weight gain is a direct side effect of the anti-depressant. So what I am asking is : does the medicine cause direct weight gain or does the medicine simply increase the appetite? In other words if one does not act on the increased appetite, no weight gain will follow !

After losing pregnancy weight, I am not wanting to gain the weight back again!

I was told it's because you feel better that you eat more, the part of the brain that feels better when eating is stimulated or something. IT comforts you to eat so your brain wants you to eat more.

Let me tell you. If I could be a happy fat person half the battle with depression will have been won.
I'm not. I hate my body.
( I know its in my head. I could have been skinny and still find something to hate )

LOL!!! We had one like that in a hostel I stayed in.
When she was dumped she would go after the boys with knives... Their doors always ended up with stab wounds
