I have both an iPad and Samsung Galaxy S.

With the Galaxy S I can get any app I want. No need to jump through hoops etc.

With the iPad I have to sign up for an USA iTunes account in order to get new apps. Which sucks. And which is a major let-down.

I played football with my DHD once. Well more like dropped it onto my shoe mid stride. It took me a while to get the covers and battery that was all over the play.

Can't wait to see the iPhone 5. I applaud Samsung and what they're doing with their phones (at least the Galaxy), it's sure to keep Apple on their toes.

Actually, as far as I'm concerned, I'll keep my iPhone 4 specs - just give me another day's battery juice, 8Mb camera and a slightly larger screen and I'll be as happy as a pig in ****.

    As for battery life :

When first I got my Galaxy S, it lasted less than a day (after "customizing" it)

So I fiddled and diddled, and got 2 days of juice out of the battery.

Then my brother (who recently got the Galaxy S2) recommended me to use Easy Battery Saver. After a bit of fiddling and adjusting, I'm getting 4 days of power out of my phone (Currently it is now on 55%)

I actually enjoy this, competition creates great products!

Apple knows it needs a better phone to compete now.

Dear Mobilegod, please don't let Apple make the iPhone 5 screen as large as the SGS3...

Why not give users a choice?
I'm sure there are iPhone users who would like a bigger screen?
But apple have been so successful by releasing only one model, I doubt that will be changed people will still buy what apple offers.

Ja, that does suck a bit but come on dude, you do it once, create the account and you set...

Then it's buying vouchers to use on US iTunes store which also sucks.

You pay a premium for them although when Bestbuy was still accepting SA credit cards I got $100 worth of iTunes voucher for $80. I still have $46 credit on my account.

duh! six months is half a development cycle. if samsung released a new flagship phone on the day the iphone 5 is launched, it would also put the s3 to shame!

Absolutely, 2 sizes - current and maybe 4". Highly unlikely though.

Agreed, I personally believe they have no choice but to offer 2 sizes.

Believe me it is a weakness, of iOS specifically. I had 3 iPhones, on Android now & nothing in the world would entice me back.

Example: helped a colleague at work yesterday to setup his iPad, how embarrassing to have to explain to him the need for a US account and buying vouchers to get to any of the good stuff not available in the ZA store. What is this .. 1982?

He wanted to return the iPad he was so dissapointed at Apple's crap.

Hence my conclusion that it is a strength of Androids is accurate?

Those store limitations are more on account of the films and publication board than Apple's crap.
