I'm I need of one of these small portable chargers to charge my phone (htc desire) on a long bus ride. I will be playing a lot of music and need to keep my battery going.

There was a really nice one I found on BoB a while back (never bought it - wish I had), which had about 4x the capacity of most phones. Most of the small ones are pretty useless as their capacity is too low.
I'll see if I can find it again.
makro sells an energizer one for R200
I just got back from a supplier were I bought the Energizer XP2000 for R272.46. I didn't have enough cash for the bigger XP4001
, but I think the 2000 is more than enough for playing music.
bar1 I think the one you may be referring to is the XP1000, which doesn't hold a lot of power.

I saw so many of these things on my last shopping trip at Musica, Game, The Gadget Shop, and Incredible Connection. I know the intenet is amazing but let's not forget those bricks with a sign on top we see outside are called stores and they usually have what you need if you just dare enter and ask. My apologies if you live around cows instead of stores
